Mid-September in the Tetons means the early yellows of fall are starting to make their appearance, and the weather is just right as the early snows start to coat the very tips of the mountaintops that seem to disappear into the clouds. There is so much beauty to be seen here anytime of the year, but fall is just one of my favorite times of year to photograph elopements here.

My last elopement in the Tetons for the year was absolutely incredible, this day with Addie and Brian was filled with so so much love, adventure, and of course some of the best mountainous scenery in the entire country!

My couple flew all the way from Maryland to get married in Wyoming. They stayed on the Idaho side in a stunning cabin, where everyone got ready. And just wait until you see Addie’s veil, it was the perfect addition to her whole bridal look!

Schwabacher Landing was such a picturesque spot for their ceremony, and we then headed out to do some adventuring around the park, and took some of the most beautiful bridals amongst jaw-dropping scenery (keep scrolling to see the most iconic Wyoming photobomb during their bridals at String Lake)!

For their dinner back at the Airbnb to finish the day off, they had Hibachi (and it was my first time having it and it was the most fun experience ever, and we had a rainbow greeting us in the sky as we ate and celebrated!

This September Schwabacher Landing Elopement in Grand Teton National Park had the perfect mix of everything for Addie and Brian's day - I can't wait to show you the photos from their day below!

Looking to learn more about planning your Grand Teton National Park elopement? Hey there, I'm Karlie! I specialize in helping couples have a stress-free, epic, and memorable experience for their wedding day in Idaho, the Tetons, and beyond! I provide my couples with custom location guides, activity lists, vendor recommendations, permit assistance, and more.

Breakfast, Coffee + Emotional Private Vows on Balcony

Addie and Brian hired me to hang out with them the full day, which is just the best! We ate breakfast together as a group and they even got me yummy coffee to enjoy with them. We all had a chill morning and then Addie and Brian wanted to read their vows out on their balcony together before getting ready, which is such a nice, relaxed time to do so before the day gets a bit busier!

One thing I always love to mention is that when I mention the idea of starting the day with breakfast, it doesn't necessarily mean that I take photos of you eating the whole time, but what it can actually look like is a relaxed time, letting you both get used to having a camera around, and it helps tell the entire story of your day from start to finish!

Getting Ready at the Cabin

After some breakfast and vows, it was time to get ready! I started with taking photos of all the amazing details my couple had, and they got ready separately so they could do a first look together in the backyard. Addie got her hair and makeup done by the super talented Beauty by Autym! Addie then got in her gorgeous dress by Bridal Boutique Columbia upstairs, and then we headed downstairs for not just one, but two special first looks!

Backyard First Looks in Victor Airbnb

Addie did a first look with her dad first, and then did a first look with Brian at the backyard of their Airbnb in Victor. Both moments were so sweet! Addie's dad's tie had a photo of her as a little girl on the backside of it (the little details make the moments that much more special)! Then it was time to gear up and head into the park for their intimate ceremony.

Scenic Ceremony at Schwabacher Landing

On the way to the ceremony, we picked up Addie's bridal bouquet from JH Flower Boutique in downtown Jackson! It was such a gorgeous bouquet for their fall elopement - we were all so excited!

We then arrived at the trailhead at Schwabacher Landing for their ceremony! It's a short and easy walk down to the ceremony site at the end of the trail. The views are absolutely stunning along the walk, and you walk along a creek with good chances to see wildlife. At the end for the backdrop to the ceremony site, the trees frame the Tetons and it's absolutely beautiful!

Schwabacher Landing is one of the most popular ceremony sites in the park, and if you're feeling stressed about how to get this spot for your wedding, definitely feel free to reach out and I'd love to help you through the process! I help all of my couples pick the best spot for what they envision, what accessibility they need for their guests, and more. Click here to reach out or inquire!

Stunning Mountain Bridals at String Lake

When I went location scouting and saw that this spot was right by the road and a very short walking distance from a parking lot, I was so stoked! I could not wait to take Addie and Brian's bridal photos here. The bridge goes over the water, and the Tetons are really showing off at this spot.

Towards the end of our time here, we got the most iconic Wyoming photobomb: a pair riding on horses! It couldn't have been more perfect for them to cross the water on their horses - how cool!

A Delicious Catered Hibachi Dinner with Cake

Addie and Brian were stoked to have a catered Hibachi dinner to finish the day off! But now I understand why they were so excited - it was just incredible, and so so delicious! I've never had hibachi before and when they found GoHibachiNow located in Driggs, it was made to be!

Addie and Brian both put on the cutest Mr. and Mrs. Silly Goose shirts and it was adorable! It was such an entertaining evening, and the scenery even showed off for us by giving us a colorful rainbow over the mountains! What an epic end to this day!!

Addie and Brian's Review from their Schwabacher Landing elopement:

"Words cannot even capture how truly amazing Karlie is and how highly my husband and I would recommend her. From the start she was so communicative and regularly checking in with us to make sure our planning process was going smoothly. Any questions we had or assistance we needed, Karlie was so quick to help out. On our actual wedding day, Karlie felt like another family member with us all day. She is so kind and friendly and easy to be around and made sure my husband and I felt comfortable both in front of the camera and in between shots. She was so thoughtful throughout the day and even gave us some of her extra snacks when we realized we had forgotten to eat. She was so quick to get the sneak peeks back to us and I can't even begin to explain how perfect the photos were. She did such an amazing job capturing all the love that our day had and the photos were just breathtaking. I could go on and on, but long story short, I would recommend Karlie to anyone any day!!"
