MORE ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS ABOUT ELOPING IN IDAHO
What's the best time of year to elope in Idaho? June - Early October is typically the most popular time to elope in Idaho! Depending on the elevation of your elopement location, sometimes late June/early July is the earliest you can get up in the mountains without running into snow. But if you want fall colors at an alpine lake, then early October is great for that!
Do we have to hike for our elopement? Absolutely not! You don't have to hike mile and miles for your elopement. There are several spots where you can drive up to get epic mountain views or that require minimal hiking.
Do we need witnesses to elope in Idaho? Nope! Idaho is one of the easiest states to get married in, and one of the few that does not require witnesses. You only need an officiant to make it legal!
Should I elope in North Idaho or Stanley/Sawtooths? I love both places so much, and you can't go wrong with either location! Stanley sits at over 6000 feet in elevation, while North Idaho doesn't, unless you go into the mountains. Stanley is much more secluded with very limited amenities, but easy access to mountain views. North Idaho definitely has all the regular amenities, and some easy access mountain spots as well, but to get more of those jagged rocky peaks, you'll have to go into the mountains.
Does it have to just be the two of us to elope? Not at all! Almost all of my couples bring some form of guests along, usually under 25 total. But if you envision a day with just the two of you, that is absolutely fine too! Whatever will make your day the most special.
What if we've never been to Idaho before? Nearly all of my couples come from across the country to elope in Idaho - and some even haven't been to Idaho at all before! But I have your back, I'll use my local expertise to provide you with all the logistics of planning an elopement in a location you aren't familiar with!
