I was finally able to visit the small town of Stanley Idaho, nestled beneath the Sawtooth Mountains. Savannah and Tyler found me on TikTok and Instagram, and when they told me they wanted to elope in Stanley, it worked out so well because I had already booked another elopement for Stanley for June 6, and these guys chose June 3 for their elopement date. So I had the privilege of photographing two elopements here in Stanley. These two love the outdoors and spending time in it, so Stanley was an absolutely perfect location for them to have their hiking adventure elopement.
This Stanley elopement with Savannah and Tyler is featured over on Wandering Weddings!
Lowman Idaho Airbnb in the Woods
The day started off with me meeting them in their cabin in Lowman, Idaho. They made breakfast together, and ate together outside with the golden sunshine radiating through the trees. The cabin had a patio table and chairs perfect for hosting their wedding day breakfast in the woods. Before we met up, I mentioned in the emails that they could have mimosas with their breakfast and Savannah was so excited for that, and they picked up some cute Mr. and Mrs. glasses for their mimosas! This is also where they got ready and had their first look together before we continued on for the rest of the day's adventures.
Sawtooth Log Fence Bridals
Along our drive back to the town of Stanley, we saw some wildlife and Savannah and Tyler loved the look of the wooden fences and so we stopped to take some photos of the fences with the gorgeous Sawtooths in the background! This was in the first week of June, so we still had the stunning snowcapped mountains.
Fishhook Creek Trail Vows
Savannah and Tyler wanted to start their day with a hike that I had found which leads to some of the most gorgeous views of the Sawtooth Mountain Range. We started off with hiking Fishhook Creek Trail for their private vows.
First Dance in the Sawtooth Mountains
After heartfelt private vows on the trail, we forked off and went up the ridge in search of mountain views to host their first dance. If you need help picking the best hiking wedding dress, be sure to check out this blog post! Hiking up to the top of this ridge was no easy feat, but it was so worth the views on the top! We can into a mountain biker that we saw at the bottom of the trail and he was so impressed they hiked up in their wedding gear! Gotta love adventurous brides and grooms!
Mountaintop Picnic in Stanley Idaho
After our hiking adventure, I led them to a spot for their picnic where they could enjoy the views while they ate! They brought a picnic blanket that matched the mountains perfectly, and had some delicious homemade huckleberry pie for dessert, perfect for an Idaho elopement!
Stanley Lake Bridals
After we had all refueled with a mountaintop picnic adventure, we headed over to Stanley Lake for some bridals! This lake is in my opinion the prettiest lake in Stanley. It has gorgeous views of McGown Peak, which makes for a stunning backdrop for adventure bridals!
Stanley Hot Springs Couples Photos
After the bridals at Stanley Lake, we finished the day off with a soak in one of Stanley's local hot springs. This area of Idaho is known for it's hot springs, and this one has amazing views of the Sawtooths located right in the town of Stanley. What better way to finish the day than to soak in a hot spring after spending the morning hiking and exploring!
