What a gorgeous summer day in July to get have an adventure wedding! I met Erin when we worked at the same place last year. I love when my friends become my clients because there's more of a connection, and you are more able to capture the real them more easily. I was so stoked to hear that Erin wanted me to capture her forest elopement on the Coeur d'Alene River! This was the perfect way to get married in Idaho.
Getting Ready at a Rustic Cabin
To start off this day on the river, I met up with Erin and a close group of her friends and family at a rustic cabin in the forest. This is where she got in her dress, put on her jewelry, and got ready to walk down the aisle with her son - so sweet!
Coeur d'Alene River Ceremony
It was so warm and sunny, even people floating by on the river got to witness them during their ceremony! The water was such a beautiful blue-green color, and the rounded rocks layered down into the water created a setting so visually pleasing. They were surrounded by the people that mattered most, and they got to interact with them during their day because the group was small enough. They had a short and sweet ceremony right on the river.
Cake Cutting on the River
Even though this wedding was out in the woods, of course there was still cake! The cake was a delicious lemon lavender flavor, the perfect blend of flavors for a summer wedding. I loved the super cute tree cake topper, it just complemented the cake so well.
Forest Bridals
Erin and Jim wanted some forest bridal photos near Wallace, Idaho. This area has such gorgeous cedar trees, and lush ferns along the creek. We wandered around under the towering trees taking our time exploring this beautiful area with wooden bridges and views of flowing creeks.
