Frequently Asked Questions
1. What do I need to do to book a date with you?
After inquiry, I require a 30% reservation fee taken off of the total amount of the package. This ensures that no other bookings can be booked on your date. This is due upon the signing of my photography contract.
2. What happens if there's bad weather the day of our session?
I think certain bad weather adds so much visual interest to photos, such as wind. If there's supposed to be bad weather during our session that can't be worked with like drenching rain and thunderstorms, message me to let me know if you're thinking about postponing. We can reschedule as long as there's a day we are both available on. If for an elopement, we can have a backup location ready!
3. How long will it take for us to get our photos back and how are they delivered?
For regular sessions it takes about 1 week. These sessions are delivered via an online gallery.
For weddings it takes about 4-6 weeks. These sessions are delivered on a USB in a hand-prepared box.
4. Are you willing to travel?
I am willing to travel to you! I am based in Idaho, but will travel to anywhere in the Pacific Northwest and beyond to capture your day.
5. How many images do we get?
For regular sessions I promise 50+ images.
For 8 hour weddings I promise 300+ images.
6. What should I wear to our session?
I have a blog post called Session Style Guide that goes over some outfit ideas and what colors go well together! You can also send me a message for some input! I love helping pick out outfits!
7. What is an elopement?
Elopements aren't what they used to be. Elopements are a meaningful way to get married with the guests being the closest people to you at a location that is meaningful. Guest count is usually 25 people or less. Locations range from backyards, mountaintops, ocean cliffs, or to other countries. They are focused solely on you and your other half celebrating your love and getting married. My favorite type of wedding. Read more about elopements here!
8. Do you give out RAW images?
The simple answer is no. I edit all of my images according to my artistic style, and that's one of the reasons my clients book me based off of. If you don't like a photographer's editing style, don't reach out to them.
9. Do you help with the planning process?
I certainly can! I love offering help to my clients! I even help create wedding timelines if you book a wedding with me!
10. Can you "photoshop" us?
Other than clearing minor blemishes or cuts/bruises, I do not alter the way my clients look. I am all about my photos being natural, and them not being fake in the final photo.
